Description: Translucent decking oil for exterior wood.
Special Features: Bondex Elite Decking Oil is based on natural ingredients – 75% of total organic carbon is replaced with bio-based content (measured according to ASTM D6866-18).
Where to use: On all exterior wooden decks and stairs. Also suitable for exotic wood species.
Surface preparation: Untreated surfaces: Clean the wood surface of any dirt, dust, and loose material. Wash mouldy wood surfaces with Bondex Wood Cleaner according to instructions. Surfaces previously treated wood oil: Remove loose material with a scraper and/or a wire brush. Clean the surface and, if necessary, wash with Bondex Wood Cleaner according to instructions. If a visible film remains on the surface, remove it before treatment. Sand surface, if necessary.
Application: Stir thoroughly before and during application. Apply with brush or pad, so that the oil is absorbed evenly into the wood. Spread evenly along the entire length of the board in continuous strokes to avoid overlapping. Apply 1 coat. Oil treatment makes the wood look darker. Wipe off any excess oil that has not been absorbed into the wood after 30 min. Carry out maintenance when necessary. Surfaces continuously exposed to the weather may need to be treated annually.
Drying Time: Touch dry: 4 hours. Recoatable: 16 hours at 23°C and standard humidity of 60%.
